ONGOING COMIC BOOK PROJECT TITLED: I WANT TO RUIN YOUR LIFE
The Artist:
Theo Wright is a New York based artist and illustrator. The spooky atmosphere of New England had a deep impact on him, pushing his imagination towards science fiction and horror. He is most inspired by gritty stories about human struggles, anarchist punk music, transgressive films that challenge the status quo, and comics with inspiring but relatable heroes overcoming insurmountable odds.
Wright’s work has recently been featured in the December 2025 issue of the Portland Drawing Survey. His animated short film Don’t Overthink It received the Best Comedy award at the 2024 Maine College of Art and Design film festival, and was nominated for best 2D animated film. It was also shown at the Animation Planet Festival in 2024 when it was hosted in Portland Maine. While previously living in New Hampshire and Maine, he graduated with a BFA in Animation from Maine College of Art and Design.
The mediums Theo often works in are digital and traditional illustration and 2D animation.
